Boeing 747-8 from the Qatari royal family Copy link

Qatar's royal family gave a 13-year-old Boeing 747-8 to the U.S. Defense Department for use as Air Force One. Sources told ABC News in May 2025 that ownership would pass to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation by Jan. 1, 2029. Aviation experts put the jet's value at about $400 million, ABC News and NBC News reported. In August 2026, Eric Trump told NBC News that an old Air Force One, not the Qatari jet, would be displayed at the library.

    Paid by Qatari royal family

Listed as alleged because the plane went to the Air Force, not to Trump, and is no longer clearly slated to pass to him or his library. Eric Trump, who is developing the library, told NBC News the Qatari jet is "not the plan at the moment" for Miami, and the Washington Examiner reported the library commitment "appears to have been backtracked on." It moves back to Reported if a transfer to Trump or his library is confirmed. Value estimates for this jet range from $200 million to $400 million (NBC News). They exclude the security refit, which experts told NBC could cost over $1 billion and which the Air Force pays for. A White House official told ABC News in August 2026 that "No final decision has been made yet" about the jet's future after his term.
