Checked and Left Out
Not every viral number holds up. These are claims we checked and did not count, with the reason. If new reporting changes the picture, an item can move onto the board.

Gulf rulers put at least $2 billion into two bank accounts for Kushner: an “Alpha” account of about $750 million at First Abu Dhabi Bank and a “Beta” account of about $1 billion, later moved via Azerbaijan, allegedly for his personal benefit (Matthew Cole, Princes and Thieves).
Before the window: the book dates both accounts to 2017, in Trump's first term, and describes no payment after Election Day 2024. It is also the original source of the earlier, untraced report of $750 million from an Azerbaijani bank.

Kushner and Witkoff stand to profit from a multibillion-dollar deal for Lukoil's global assets discussed in Russia talks.
The New York Times, which broke the story, says there is no evidence either man profits personally. Two buyer groups have past business ties to their families.

Companies backed by Trump's sons won $6 billion in Pentagon contracts.
An aggregate, and ABC News deleted and corrected the report. Totals like this one, and the Financial Times' $735 million and The Washington Post's $3.2 billion, mix awards, contract ceilings and companies in which the sons' funds hold tiny stakes. The individual awards we could trace are listed on Government contracts instead; they are company revenue, not payments to the sons.

1789 Capital invests $300 million in Polymarket and about $50 million in Anduril.
Money invested out of a fund is not money received. Trump Jr. is one of six partners and not on the investment committee.
- 15 OCT 2026
The Trump family pocketed nearly $3 billion.
An advocacy group's aggregate built largely from items already itemized here, so counting it would double-count.

Affinity Partners collects tens of millions of dollars a year in fees.
No specific in-window figure has been reported. Senate findings of up to $157 million in fees cover 2021 to 2024, before our window.

Howard Lutnick profited from the presidency through BGC and Newmark share sales and Cantor's stake in Tether.
The share sales were ethics-required divestitures of holdings he already owned. The price of the transfer to his children's trusts is undisclosed, and Cantor's Tether stake was agreed before November 2024.
- Feb 2026
Witkoff-affiliated entities received at least $31 million when a UAE-backed firm bought 49% of World Liberty Financial.
This likely overlaps his disclosed $107 million of 2025 income from the same holding company, so counting it would double-count.
- 2025
David Sacks sold more than $200 million in crypto holdings before joining the White House.
Selling his own assets to meet ethics rules is not money received because of the presidency.

Insiders made roughly $100 million from the $MELANIA memecoin.
The reporting attributes the profits to unnamed insiders, not to Melania Trump, and she is not named in the investor lawsuit over the coin.

Affinity Partners' sale of Phoenix Financial shares for nearly $350 million.
These are proceeds to the fund. No source states Kushner's personal share. Kushner calls reporting on the holdings misleading.
- 13 OCT 2026
Kimberly Guilfoyle received payments from donor Eric Deters while ambassador.
Coverage repeats undated speaking fees that her lawyer says predate her nomination and a $100,000 request that was not paid. She resigned on October 13, 2026 and denies the allegations.
- 30 SEP 2026
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick received a $192 million distribution from Cantor Fitzgerald in 2025.
His disclosure describes it as a tax distribution handled under the ethics agreement for unwinding his stake in his own firm. Like his ethics-required share sales, this is money from a business he already owned, which we don't count.

At least $31 million of the UAE-linked payment for 49% of World Liberty Financial went to Witkoff family entities.
Likely the same money as the $107 million of 2025 income Witkoff disclosed from the holding company that owned his stake, so counting it again would double it.

Lobbyists Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl reported $960,000 and $600,000 in fees from clients seeking pardons.
The fees are on federal lobbying disclosures, but Burkman and Wohl are pro-Trump activists with no documented role in Trump's circle, so they fall outside this tracker.

Skydance would give Trump $20 million in advertising or public service announcements on top of Paramount's settlement.
Trump posted that he anticipated it; Paramount denies any such side deal, and no record shows anything was delivered. The ads would promote causes, not pay Trump.

Federal awards to Anduril, including Army orders of $156.6 million and a $2.9 billion Navy submarine-parts contract, as money tied to Donald Trump Jr.
1789 Capital, where Trump Jr. is a partner, invested in Anduril in 2025, but Anduril says the fund owns about 0.13% of the company. A stake that small does not tie the company's contracts to him. Anduril's awards are listed once, under its founder Palmer Luckey, a Trump donor. ABC News corrected an October 2026 story that overstated 1789's stake.

Anduril and the U.S. Navy commit $6.6 billion to a new Maryland submarine-parts shipyard.
$3.7 billion of the $6.6 billion is Anduril's own investment in its shipyard, which is money the company spends, not money it receives. Only the Navy's contract of up to $2.9 billion is federal money to Anduril, and it is listed as its own line. Maryland and Baltimore County incentives of up to 13% of Anduril's investment are state funds, still subject to legislative approval, and are not a federal award.
