The Army picked Anduril and a second team to prototype Soldier Borne Mission Command, the mixed-reality headset that replaced Microsoft's IVAS. Anduril announced a $159 million deal; it is an other transaction agreement, not on USAspending, so the amount paid is not public.

Awarded to Anduril by U.S. Army

Tie Luckey founded Anduril with Trae Stephens, its executive chairman. He gave $200,000 to the Trump 47 Committee, a Trump joint fundraising committee, in June 2024, FEC filings show, and Fortune put his donations to Trump's 2024 campaign at $400,000. Trump's team consulted Stephens on reshaping the military after the election, Bloomberg reported.
