ProPublica reported that Umar Kremlev, the Russian head of the International Boxing Association and a Putin associate, paid "hundreds of thousands of dollars" of expenses for Donald Trump Jr.'s May 2026 wedding weekend in the Bahamas, through an IBA-affiliated entity in Dubai. That included several nights on a private island that rents for about $100,000 a night and a fireworks show the vendor typically prices around $70,000. Bettina Trump called it "an extraordinarily generous wedding gift from a friend."

ProPublica says Kremlev paid for multiple nights and other costs, so the total is likely higher. Alleged because the amount rests on one investigation; the gift itself is confirmed by Bettina Trump and Kremlev.
