Retainer from the Alexander family for work including clemency Copy link

The New York Times reported, based on documents it reviewed, that the family of Oren, Tal and Alon Alexander paid Alan Dershowitz a $250,000 retainer about three months after the brothers' December 2024 arrest. A letter from Dershowitz described his work as including “executive clemency” options. The brothers were later convicted of sex trafficking.

Single-source amount. A further $250,000 was invoiced but is not reported as paid, so it is not counted.

    Denies

Alan Dershowitz Says he is a consultant on legal, constitutional and sentencing issues, has not discussed a pardon with the family or with Trump, and has “not focused on executive clemency issues”. In October 2026 he told PEOPLE that the “reported amounts billed and received are inaccurate,” as quoted by IBTimes. The New York Times, via The Philadelphia Inquirer
