Before Republika Srpska's Oct. 4, 2026 election
Consulting fee from Republika Srpska's government, paid through a Washington law firm Copy link
The New York Times reported that Chris LaCivita and James Blair were each paid hundreds of thousands of dollars through a Washington-based law firm retained by the government of Republika Srpska, the Serb-run entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Milorad Dodik's party, to advise on voting issues before its October 2026 election. The New York Post, citing four sources, reported that each man earned more than $100,000 from the job and that both donated the full fee to Trump's presidential library.
Paid by Government of Republika Srpska, through an unnamed Washington law firm
Amount is the New York Post's floor of more than $100,000 each; the Times put each payment at hundreds of thousands of dollars without a figure. A fee later donated was still received; the reported donation went to Trump's presidential library and LaCivita confirmed it on X. The law firm has not been named in reporting. No FARA registration or short-form filing by LaCivita, Blair or Advancing Strategies appears in the Justice Department's FARA records (checked October 30, 2026). Lucas Compton LLC, a Washington law firm registered under FARA for the Republika Srpska government, lists no payment to either man in its supplemental statement for the six months to August 31, 2026; the election work came after that period.
ResponseChris LaCivita and MAGA Inc. LaCivita confirmed on X that the fee was donated to Trump's presidential library. A MAGA Inc. spokesman declined to comment on the trip but said both men stayed engaged in the midterm effort while traveling. The Daily Beast
